Best bosses to farm in Path of Exile 2

Best bosses to farm in Path of Exile 2

Path of Exile 2 [1] gives players the freedom to do whatever they want, whether it be going for the build they’ve always dreamt of or exploring an ever-expanding fictional world. However, one of the most satisfying things any ARPG has is the ability to absolutely pummel bosses. Of course, things are made even better if those bosses give you good in-game loot you can easily farm.

Today, we want to go through the best bosses to farm in Path of Exile 2. This includes accessible minor bosses and a handful of the easiest large bosses that can give you easy rewards. Naturally, we’ll also highlight the best way to get to them and the potential rewards you can get to ensure you don’t waste your time.

Without any more delay, here are the best bosses to farm in Path of Exile 2, If you’re struggling with any boss we list down then you should probably increase the strength of your build. The most surefire way to do this is by buying the required Path of Exile 2 orbs and currencies so you don’t have to grind for hours.

Accessible minor bosses

A dramatic scene depicting fantasy monsters in battle.

Farming minor bosses like The Executioner in Ogham Village or Kabala Constrictor Queen in Keth is the fastest way to level up and get loot for early-game players. Users can find these bosses in clearable maps to receive rewards. Re-running these maps is incredible for players who need gear upgrades or skill gems.

The Act Bosses

Location: Ogham Manor / Dreadnought Vanguard / The Black Chambers.

Potential rewards: Skill Gem, Gear, Currency.

Act bosses are the climax of every act’s storyline, but they aren’t the most efficient farming options during the campaign because they don’t have unique look tables, making farming them good if players can clear their maps quickly. Their pinnacle versions in Citadels drop fragments in the endgame, which players need for the Arbiter of Ash fight, making them essential for progression.

The King in the Mists

A scene from the game showing The King in the Mists character battle.

Location: Obtain an audience with The King (Ritual Altars) and use in Realmgate.

Potential Rewards: Beetlebite, Ingenuity, The Burden of Shadows, Pragmatism, From Nothing.

The King in the Mists is a side quest boss in Act 1 but has an endgame version with farming potential. Players can encounter ritual altars in endgame maps to purchase An Audience With The King, which they can use in the Realmgate to start the fight. Increasing the difficulty through Atlas improves the chances of unique drops like Pragmatism and From Nothing.

Olroth, Origin Of The Fall

A scene from the action game showcasing dynamic gameplay and visual effects.

Location: Find Dannig on Expeditions and open an Expedition with a level 79+ logbook for a chance to spawn.

Potential Rewards: Keeper of the Ark, Olrovasara, Svalinn, Heroic Tragedy, Olroth’s Resolve.

Olroth is the pinnacle boss of the Expeditions endgame activity. His spawn depends on the player’s luck as they must meet the NPC Dannig and open an Expedition with a level 79+ logbook. His unique drops, like Olrovasara and Svalinn, make him an incredible option for players who want to invest time in Expeditions.

The Trialmaster

Character engages in combat in a mystical environment.

Location: Open Trial of Chaos with level 75+ Inscribed Ultimatum and loot 3 ”fate” fragments in trial 10 to open the boss door.

Potential Rewards: Glimpse of Chaos, Hateforge, Mahuxotl’s Machination, The Adorned, Zerphi’s Genesis.

The Trialmaster is the final boss of the Trials of Chaos. They must use a level 75+ Inscribed Ultimatum and get three “fate” fragments from mini-bosses in phase 10 to unlock the boss fight. His unique drops include Hateforge and Mahuxotl’s Machination, so it’s a great place to farm for great gear.

Zarokh, The Temporal

A mystical dark portal with abstract designs and a hooded figure.

Location: Open Trial of the Sekhemas with a level 75+ Djinn Barya and complete all four floors.

Potential Rewards: The Burden of Leadership, The Changing Seasons, The Last Flame, The Desperate Alliance, The Remembered Tales, The Peacemaker’s Draught.

Zarokh is the final boss player to fight in the Trial of the Sekhemas. They must use a level 75+ Djinn Barya to open the trial, get access to four floors, and have a chance to fight Zarokh. Many fans farm this boss because the unique relics that drop during the trial guarantee specific unique drops from the enemy.

Arbiter Of Ash

A striking demonic character with fiery elements.

Location: Obtain three boss fragments from Citadels on the Atlas and place them in the Burning Monolith.

Potential Rewards: Ab Aeterno, Morior Invictus, Sine Aequo, Solus Ipse, Prism of Belief, Sacred Flame.

The Arbiter of Ash is an incredible endgame boss who drops some of the best loot in the game. However, accessing this fight is time-consuming because players must defeat pinnacle act bosses in Citadels to get fragments. Although this boss drops valuable items like Morior Invictus, it takes too much effort to get, making it less efficient.

Xesht, We That Are One

An epic battle scene in a dark fantasy game

Location: Use a Breachstone (300 Breach Splinters) in the Realmgate.

Potential Rewards: Beyond Reach, Choir of the Storm, The Pandemonious, Xoph’s Blood, Hand of Wisdom and Action, Skin of the Loyal, Controlled Metamorphosis.

Xesht is the pinnacle boss of the Breach activity. Players farm Breach Splinters in maps and use 300 to create  Breachstone to initiate the fight. This boss is a popular farming spot because it has unique drops like Xoph’s Blood and Skin of the Loyal. Fans can utilize Atlas passives to increase splinter drop rates and make farming easier.

Simulacrum (Kosis & Omniphobia)

A monstrous creature wielding an axe

Location: Use a Simulacrum (300 Simulacrum Splinters) in the Realmgate.

Potential Rewards: Assailum, Perfidy, Melting Maelstrom, Struggle Scream, Collapsing Horizon, Megalomaniac.

The Simulacrum boss fight features Kosis and Omniphobia, who are the pinnacle bosses of Delirium. Players can farm Simulacrum Splinters in Delirium Rifts and use 300 to create a Simulacrum to unlock the fight. Players who need Assailum and Megalomaniac use this boss for target farming because of the smaller item pool.
