Naturally, every character is vastly different, not only in regards to their playing style but also the role they’re assigned. From the damage-dealing Duelists to the tanky Vanguard characters, every Marvel Rivals hero and villain specializes in something for every team composition.

This role involves characters who specialize in healing their teammates, whether through abilities or their auto attacks. We’ll highlight our picks for the best Strategists in the game to ensure our support-mains know who to go for.

Adam Warlock

Adam Warlock stands out as an incredibly versatile and impactful support character. His kit can heal allies, boosting the team’s damage, self-healing, and resurrections, making him a valuable asset in every team. His Quantum Magic strikes increase headshot damage, and his Soul Bond unites teammates, letting everyone share their heals and damage buffs.

His Avatar of Life ability rewards teams that stick close by giving everyone around significant healing, including himself. What’s incredible about Adam Warlock is his ultimate ability, Karmic Revival. With that ability, he can revive multiple teammates that can immediately change the tide of a battle, similar to how Mercy could do in the early era of Overwatch.

When he’s paired up with Star-Lord or Mantis, the other characters can get automatically revived often when they die through a Regenerative Cocoon, making it arguably the most powerful team-up in the game.

Mantis

Players consider Jeff the Land Shark as the best Strategist in the game due to his combination of speed, healing, and disruption. Jeff’s primary way of healing is a beam that can quickly patch up allies back to full health. A great thing about it is that he doesn’t have to reload too much like Luna Snow, so he can keep supporting his teammate.

Alongside his superior healing output, Jeff is probably the most mobile Strategist in Marvel Rivals. He has an ability that lets him swim underwater while self-healing, ensuring his survivability in team fights, flanks, and more. He can use this ability to reposition himself as well. Moving on to his ultimate ability, he can swallow up enemies and teammates in a radius, reposition, and spit them out. While enemies are inside him, they lose health bit by bit, but what’s devastating about it is that Jeff can use it to instantly kill them by throwing them out of the map or teaming up with a teammate like Scarlet Witch and spitting them into her ultimate attack.

Jeff’s healing, damage, and mobility make him one of the best support options a player can pick.

Rocket Raccoon

Gamers believe Rocket Raccoon is one of the best Strategists in the game because of his versatility. His primary tool is his healing grenade launcher, which lets him heal multiple teammates simultaneously if they’re grouped, making it incredibly handy during team fights.

Rocket Raccoon’s ultimate gives a damage buff to any nearby teammate, increasing everyone’s effectiveness during fights. Despite these abilities, Rocket’s best one is his capability to revive teammates with his Battle Revival Beacon. The Battle Revival Beacon can revive a single teammate while producing armor packs, so it can make allies stronger and bring some back. 

Adam Warlock possesses similar strengths in revival, but mastering his abilities is more challenging and requires specific team combinations, unlike Rocket, who can revive if his ability isn't on cooldown.

Luna Snow

In terms of sheer healing potential, Luna Snow is unparalleled in the Marvel Rivals roster. This idol character uses her basic attacks to hurl projectiles that both damage enemies and heal allies depending on who they hit.

While most Strategists require players to actually hit their teammates with healing attacks to heal their health, the same doesn’t apply to Luna, making her much more accessible for beginners. Not only can she use her basic attack to heal, but she can also attack her Idol Aura to a character and increase the size of the ice shards she hurls.

However, arguably the biggest reason most players will play as Luna Snow is her ultimate. When used, Luna enters a dancing phase where not only is she invulnerable, but so is any teammate near her. Additionally, Luna can also move when using this ability, similar to Zenyatta from Overwatch 2, making for some insane push potential.
