Best teams for Marvel Rivals Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol

Best teams for Marvel Rivals Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol

Marvel Rivals, like other hero shooters, continues to come out with new limited-time modes that players can enjoy. To celebrate the launch of Ultron, the game came out with Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol mode. While it’s fairly different compared to most other modes, the rule of the best team winning still applies.

Some of the best teams for Marvel Rivals Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol are compositions that have something in common. This includes a team of all duelists or vanguards. A team of only flying heroes is also strong, as is Loki’s team comp. However, most players will likely want the all-around team instead.

Here’s what to know about the best teams for Marvel Rivals [1] Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol. Of course, if you don’t have many friends to play with, then you can always hire a professional teammate from Eloking. Just don’t forget to use the code “BoostToday” so you get a 20% discount in the process.

5. Full Duelist Team

Futuristic female character holding a gun
  • Black Widow
  • Human Torch
  • Storm
  • The Punisher
  • Wolverine
  • Black Panther

This Team comp is built for pure damage and scales exceptionally well in the late game. It takes some time to get going and can feel weak in the early stages. This is especially true before you’ve had the chance to stack enough Protocol Onslaught levels and find the right modules that match your characters. Early losses are common and expected, so don’t worry too much about falling behind at the start.

The key is to stay patient and focus on scaling. Once you’ve gathered the right upgrades and your team begins to come together, the composition becomes incredibly powerful and difficult to stop. For best results, make sure to position all six of your characters in the back row. While the early game can be a struggle, the payoff in the late game is worth it, thanks to the massive damage output this setup can deliver.

4. All-Around Team

A fantasy warrior character with unique armor and a confident pose.
  • Namor
  • Wolverine
  • Luna Snow
  • Invisible Woman
  • Bruce Banner
  • Venom

This Team comp centers around making the most of Namor’s turrets, providing a steady stream of damage by attacking enemies across the battlefield. To ensure that Namor stays alive long enough to unleash his full potential, Luna Snow and Invisible Woman play key support roles. They help keep him safe while he continuously spawns turrets that pressure the enemy team from a distance.

A big part of the strategy is ensuring your frontliners survive long enough to protect your backline. It’s highly recommended to focus on modules that boost the overall durability of your tank units. This allows your team to hold the line while Namor deals consistent, long-range damage throughout the match.

3. Iron Vanguard Team

A powerful fantasy warrior with armor and wings.
  • Thor
  • Venom
  • Hulk
  • Captain America
  • The Thing
  • Magneto

This team comp centers around stacking Protocol Fortress upgrades to create an incredibly durable team. Instead of focusing on quick burst damage, it leans heavily into survivability and long-term endurance during battles. While you may not be able to eliminate enemies quickly early on, your team can outlive opponents through tankiness, healing, and powerful ultimate abilities.

The longer the fight goes, the more your strengths begin to show. Enemies that rely on fast takedowns will struggle to break through your solid defenses, giving your team the upper hand in drawn-out fights. This is a strong and reliable setup if you’re looking for a strategy that slowly grinds down the enemy while keeping your units alive.

2. Loki’s Team

An epic fantasy character in ornate armor with a majestic presence.
  • Loki
  • Luna Snow
  • Hulk
  • The Thing
  • Mantis
  • Hawkeye

Loki is the main focus of this team comp because of his sheer strength and power in Ultron’s Battle Matrix Protocol mode. For the best setup, place Loki in the back corner of your side of the battlefield, where he can stay safe. Use aggressive Vanguards like Hulk and The Thing up front to pull enemy attention away from Loki’s position.

To support him even more, pair Loki with ranged Duelists like Hawkeye, and keep your frontline hold longer with Strategists like Luna Snow and Mantis. Picking up Strategist upgrades between rounds can make a huge difference, turning Loki and his clones into powerful healing sources. And if the match goes long, Loki’s ultimate can often turn the fight in your favor at just the right moment.

1. Flying Heroes

A fiery superhero character in digital art.
  • Human Torch
  • Storm
  • Doctor Strange
  • Magneto
  • Hawkeye
  • Invisible Woman

Flying heroes can be a real headache in regular multiplayer matches, and that doesn’t change in Ultron’s Battle Matrix. Storm and Human Torch are two standout picks for flying Duelists. To make the most of their mobility and damage output, position them safely in your backline, where they can attack from above without being overwhelmed. Pair them with strong Vanguards like Doctor Strange and Magneto to keep them safe. These two draw enemy attention away from your backline, while also helping control the battlefield with crowd control.

Most enemy teams will struggle to deal with your flying heroes, especially if they don’t bring reliable ranged attackers like Hawkeye. Without that counter, Storm and Human Torch can do massive damage easily while staying out of reach.

To make the comp even stronger, add Invisible Woman as your Strategist. She’s a powerful pick for this setup, since her ultimate doesn’t just support ground units but also reaches into the air, healing and cloaking your flying heroes. This extra layer of stealth can be key to your Aerial units surviving in longer fights. Altogether, this team comp creates a well-rounded setup where your flying Duelists can thrive while being supported from the ground.

This team uses Namor's turrets for damage, supported by Luna Snow and Invisible Woman. Focus on tank durability to protect your backline and allow Namor to deal consistent damage.
Loki is the focus, positioned safely in the back. Use Vanguards like Hulk and Thing to draw aggro, with support from Luna Snow, Mantis, and Hawkeye for heals and ranged damage.
