Marvel Rivals [1] may be slowly but surely losing some steam when it comes to the overall player count, but it still boasts more players than most games with an equal life span. Now, NetEase Games is attempting to enter the game in the competitive scene, and DarkZero seems to want to help with that.
DarkZero revealed a 10-player Marvel Rivals roster to join the North American Marvel Rivals esports scene. The team has new and experienced players, ensuring fans have a lot to look forward to.
Without further ado, here’s what to know about the new DarkZero Marvel Rivals NA competitive team.
DarkZero reveals Marvel Rivals roster and tournament debut
DarkZero has joined the North American Marvel Rivals esports scene, revealing a 10-player roster. The team combines new and experienced players, notably including the former members of unsigned team Magnets. Due to Magnets’ performance, DarkZero will compete as an invited team at this year’s Marvel Rivals Ignite North America tournament.
Here’s the DarkZero team roster:
‘baiser‘ – Duellist
Julian ‘chime’ Alexander Flores – Duellist
‘Smash‘ – Duellist
Michael ‘Cybur’ Hunt – Vanguard
Zairek ‘Hogz’ Poll – Vanguard
‘Zcube‘ – Vanguard
‘jibory‘ – Strategist
Griffin ‘skier‘ Gould – Strategist
Fans can watch the team compete in this week’s Rivals Fight Night #14 in the NA division. Their matches include a challengers match against ENVY, followed by a confrontation against 100 Thieves. Hogz expressed excitement online about representing DarkZero, mentioning he will be in Japan for the initial part of Ignite but will return.

Can DarkZero win in Marvel Rivals’ competitive NA scene?
DarkZero is entering the Marvel Rivals competitive scene by signing the former Magnets roster, who placed fourth in the Season 1 championship. This placement earned them the invitation to Marvel Rivals Ignite, with DarkZero competing against other well-known organizations such as FlyQuest, Shikigami, and Shroud-X. While Magnets displayed their capabilities by defeating teams like FlyQuest and RadEsports during the championships, they lost against others, such as 100 Thieves and Shroud-X.
The North American Marvel Rivals scene is competitive, especially considering the formation of teams like 100 Thieves and ENVY, meaning DarkZero might not be the immediate favorite for tournament wins. However, the NA region has seen multiple teams with success, unlike Virtus.pro’s dominance in the European region.
