Valorant [1] is slowly but surely climbing the ranks to become one of, if not the most popular, FPS games. The primary reason for the game’s popularity is the continued support the game receives from Riot Games, and patch 11.00 is slated to bring a handful of anticipated changes and additions.
Valorant patch 11.00 will change some agents’ abilities, including Waylay, Reyna, and Phoenix. Additionally, a handful of agents will get visual, audio, or general quality-of-life changes to ensure the game runs smooth for player as the game prepares to transition to Unreal Engine 5.
Without any further delays, here’s everything to know about Valorant patch 11.00.
What has changed with Waylay in Valorant patch 11.00?
Waylay has been buffed in Patch 11.00, most likely due to her high skill ceiling and low win rates being the focal point of the conversation. Riot wants to smooth out her learning curve without altering her core playstyle, making her snappier and less punishing for new and seasoned players.
Refract (X)
Minimum Refract time reduced from 0.5s to 0.35s
Maximum Refract time reduced from 3s to 2s
Unequip time reduced from 1.0 to 0.8s
Reactivation delay decreased from 0.1s to 0.05s
This means Waylay players can snap in and out of her phasing better during faster-paced outplays.
Lightspeed (Q)
Unequip delay dropped from 0.8s to 0.6s to shoot sooner after dashing.
Saturate (C)
Windup time shortened from 0.75s to 0.6s
Area size bumped up from 10m to 12m
Saturate might now be worth the credits, and the buff will help her be more threatening in post-plants and area control.
Why is Reyna’s Leer not as tanky anymore?
Riot toned down Reyna’s Leer, which used to eat bullets easily:
HP dropped from 100 to 80
Audio and visual feedback to confirm shots landing
This makes it feel more fair mid-fight under pressure.

What nerfs did Phoenix and Neon get?
Both of these duelists had utility that activated too fast, which gave defenders no time to react. Riot has tweaked that a bit:
Phoenix’s Curveball windup increased from 0.5s to 0.6s
Neon’s Relay Bolt windup increased from 0.8s to 1.0s
These should help defenders with a minor window to turn or reposition.
What are the new Valorant clarity and quality-of-life changes?
These changes are made to help understand what is going on during rounds more easily.
Sova
Recon Bolt has better audio cues for location
Own Drone plays a warning sound after spotting an enemy to give enemies a heads-up.
Shooting Owl Drone now plays proper hit sounds
Breach
Aftershock effects are slightly less blinding and do not visually block your screen as much
Killjoy
Lockdown’s delay pulse is reduced from 0.5s to 0.15s for faster effect.
Visual effects have also been tweaked to match the new timing
Cypher
The dart from Spycam now shows a better direction to help teams understand where it is coming from
Omen
Using a smoke no longer gives away his position
Dark Cover will no longer play third-person audio for nearby enemies (still plays for teammates)
Brimstone
Sky Smoke now makes a sound when cast for nearby teammates
Clove
The Pick-Me-Up ability has a clearer visual when the speed boost is active
What makes Corrode stand out as Valorant’s newest map?
Corrode is the new big map in patch 11.00, a salt-covered medieval-style fortress shaped by radianite storms. It mixes cast towers with village buildings, giving tons of vertical spots to fight from.
It is a standard 5v5 map with 3 lanes and 2 bomb sites. Structurally, it seems like a blend of Bind’s tight teleport angles and Lotus’ layered pathways. It is also built with a lurk-heavy style in mind. It feels fresh without being overwhelming and is worth checking out.
Updates to the map pool
Bind and Corrode have been added to Competitive and Deathmatch, while Pearl and Split have been removed. Corrode is also available across all other modes, including Premier, Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, and Escalation. Riot has also launched a Corrode-only Swiftplay queue that will be live for 5 days. Escalation will be disabled for the duration this lasts, however.
What is changing in Competitive with Valorant patch 11.00?
Corrode launch event
Corrode will be available on Competitive from day one, and for the first two weeks, any RR losses on the map are reduced by 50%, while wins still give the full 100% RR. This is a smart adjustment that will let players explore and learn the new map in ranked without the fear of heavy rank drops.
Rank adjustments
Riot has eased up on rank resets this time around, meaning most players will land closer to where they finished in ACT III. On top, the cap for initial placement has been raised from Ascendant 1 to Ascendant 3.
Ranked Gun Buddy
If you have been making your way up the ranks, the Ranked Gun Buddy for Season 2025 Act IV is now being distributed, and it is based on the highest rank you landed on across the first three Acts. This is the perfect badge of honor for flexing on your teammates or opponents.
Premier mode for Valorant PC gets a refresh
Premier mode got a nice refresh for competitive players:
You now have a visible tag for your team all across the client, from lobbies to killfeeds
The plating system shows on your player card and upgrades as your team performs in the playoffs
Winning your playoff unlocks a new effect called Champion’s Aura that sticks with you for the entire Act
All these changes and additions can be viewed in the Awards tab inside the Premier hub.
Player behaviour updates
Players can now report offensive Premier team names directly from the standings or match history screens. Riot will then have any inappropriate team names changed, and if repeated violations are detected, it could lead to restrictions or penalties.
Bug fixes
Riot fixed three annoying bugs in patch 11.00:
Vulnerable/Fragile effects do not linger after the debuff ends
An issue with Bind teleporters staying open due to deployables has been fixed
KAY/O, Raze, Omen, Skye, Cypher, Breach, and Astra all had minor bugs fixed, from visual issues to inconsistent tooltips
Esports Hub finally comes to consoles in patch 11.00
Finally, console players now have full access to the Esports Hub, bringing them up to speed with the VCT 2025. Here, they can check out the schedule, follow bracket progress, search for team and player info, and track the upcoming International League Stage 2 kicking off on July 12. It's a welcome step that gives console users the same experience as those on PC.
FAQs
What are the major highlights of Patch 11.00?
Patch 11.00, rolling out with Season 25 Act 4 on June 25, introduces a brand-new competitive map called Corrode, replaces Pearl and Split with Corrode and Bind in Competitive and Deathmatch queues, and includes various quality-of-life improvements like enhanced suppression effects and clearer UI around Spike pickups. Competitive resets are eased with a softer rank drop post-placements and players can now place as high as Ascendant 3.
How does the new map Corrode impact Competitive play?
Corrode is a fast-paced, triple-lane medieval map designed with long sightlines and minimal cover to prioritize precise gunplay over utility-heavy strategies. Upon release, it’s featured in a Corrode-only Swiftplay queue and included in Competitive and Deathmatch, with initial RR losses halved for two weeks to help players acclimate.
