There have been countless Pokémon over the years, but none of them even come close to being as unique as Eevee. Having so many evolutions that players can utilize through different types of stones, it’s no surprise that Eevee is a fan favorite.
Of course, it would’ve been disappointing if Pokémon Legends: Z-A didn’t include this beloved Pokémon. We’re here to highlight how you can get Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the most reliable way to catch one, and every way to evolve Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.
So, if you’re a fellow Eevee fan and want to learn about how to get Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, you’re at the right place!
Where to find Eevee in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Players can find Eevee in multiple locations throughout the game, but it’s better to catch one early. After the opening tutorial hours, when the game opens up, players can find Eevee on the rooftops of Lumiose City. Use Wild Zone 1 as a starting point and go left into the Bleu Sector. Players will find a pond and the Nouveau Café truck. There will be a scaffolding to the left of the truck. After doing some light platforming, players should reach the rooftop where they can find an Eevee. An important note is that Eevee usually spawns during the daytime and is around level 16.
Another early-game location is the Vert Sector 9 Park. To reach it, players must go to the Vernel Pokémon Center, walk out, and turn right. Enter the first alley on the left to go to the Vert District. Move straight until some rocks are visible beside a gate, go through the gate, continue straight, and cross a bridge. There should be an Eevee sitting on the other side of the bridge, on a grassy area or the road nearby. Later in the game, Eevee can be found as an encounter in Wild Zone 19, but it’s one of the last Wild Zones players can unlock.
How to catch Eevee successfully in Pokémon Legends: Z-A?
Players need to be careful when catching Eevee because it can run away if they aren’t successful quickly. The best method is to sneak up on it. Crouch low and sneak up on the Eevee from behind, then throw a Poké Ball at its back. Doing this will increase the chances of capturing it. If the player scares it, then it might run away.
If the player ends up fighting Eevee in battle, they can lower its HP to increase the catch rate. Using a Quick Ball, purchasable from the Poké Ball Boutique, at the very start of the battle is a good strategy. Pair this with a status condition, and you should be able to have a new Eevee in your team in no time.
A new mechanic in the game is that when players knock a Pokémon out, it won’t faint immediately. Instead, it will be stunned, which highly increases the catch rate. However, if Eevee breaks out of the Poké Ball during battle, then it will run away. Once an Eevee runs or gets knocked out, it will take a while before it respawns in that location.
