How to spectate a match in Overwatch 2? 

In Quick Play or Arcade mode, you'll need to join a friends match to spectate them. So, check which one of your friends is currently online, and wait for them to join a match first. After they have joined a match, click on your friend's username. Upon clicking, you'll find the option that says "Spectate." Click on it, which will take you to their game. From there, you can cycle through different players in the team. 

Custom games are a little different. Firstly, you'll need to join a custom game. From there, if you look at the bottom of the screen, it gives you an option to select the team you want to spectate. After that, simply start the match, and it'll take you in as a spectator. This mode offers a bit more versatility in terms of watching, as you can spectate players from both teams. If you wish to change teams, simply ask the host/lobby creator, and they will change the team you're spectating.
