Los Ratones have done it again. The fan-favorite roster, backed by streamer and analyst Marc "Caedrel" Lamont, claimed their second consecutive Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) title with a dominant 3–0 sweep over Nord Esports in the 2025 Spring Finals.
This electrifying series wasn’t without tension. Despite the sweep, Nord Esports[1], bolstered by the legendary jungler Marcin "Jankos" Jankowski, made their presence felt. Each match opened with fierce early-game pressure from Nord, but Los Ratones proved time and again why they are the most dominant team the NLC has seen in recent memory.
The Road to Revenge
Their path to the title wasn’t flawless. After suffering their only loss of the split to Nord earlier in the playoffs, Los Ratones had to claw their way back through the lower bracket. In the rematch, they flipped the script. From tighter macro play to superior teamfighting, Los Ratones controlled the tempo of the series.
In Game 1, despite falling behind early, they rebounded with clean picks and a pivotal teamfight in the top lane. Simon "Baus" Hofverberg’s sneaky pressure in the bot lane set up a win condition Nord couldn't answer.
Game 2 saw a standout performance from Veljko "Velja" Čamdžić on Naafiri. Velja's coordinated engages and exceptional jungle control earned him the Final MVP honors, anchoring his team through chaotic fights and keeping Nord's carries in check.
A Comeback Denied
Game 3 appeared to be Nord’s redemption arc. Jankos and top laner Tamás "Vizicsacsi" Kiss were unleashed, finding picks and building a significant gold lead. But Los Ratones refused to fold. A late-game fight, capitalizing on Baus' earlier lane pressure, cracked open Nord's base. With one final coordinated push, they secured the nexus, and with it the title.

Legacy in the Making
With this win, Los Ratones not only secured the top NLC seed heading into the EMEA Masters 2025 Spring but also became the first team in NLC history to win back-to-back splits in the same calendar year. All five players now trail only DenVoksne in total NLC titles, etching their names into the league's legacy.
Their tactical depth, aggressive playstyle, and ability to perform under pressure have drawn comparisons to Karmine Corp[2]’s iconic LFL debut in 2021. While it’s too early to say if they’ll match that level of regional dominance, the trajectory looks promising.
Looking Ahead to EMEA Masters
With this victory, Los Ratones secure the number one seed for the upcoming EMEA Masters Spring 2025, set to begin on Tuesday, June 3rd. Their consistent performance and strategic prowess position them as strong contenders in the tournament. Nord Esports will join them as the second seed from the NLC, promising exciting matchups ahead.
Los Ratones' journey from a team founded by streamer Marc "Caedrel" Lamont to NLC champions exemplifies their growth and ambition. As they prepare for the challenges of the EMEA Masters, fans and analysts alike will be watching to see if they can extend their winning streak on a larger stage.
