Marvel Rivals: New Leaked Upcoming Duelists

Marvel Rivals: New Leaked Upcoming Duelists

The duelist role remains one of the most popular in Marvel Rivals, with many players eager to see which fast-paced, high-damage characters will be added next. Thanks to recent leaks, we now have a list of several duelists that are expected to join the roster in future updates. These leaks, while unconfirmed, provide exciting insights into their potential abilities and playstyles.

Among the leaked duelists are Gambit, Hit-Monkey, Nightcrawler, Blade, Trapster, Human Torch, and Phoenix (Jean Grey). Each of these heroes brings a unique combat style, from high-mobility melee fighters to ranged assassins, making them exciting additions to the game. We have already discussed Human Torch, Blade, and Phoenix previously, so now let’s have a look at the rest.

Gambit – The Kinetic Card Master

One of the most anticipated duelists is Gambit, known for his kinetic-charged card attacks. His primary fire is expected to be Kinetic Energy Card Leap, allowing him to throw explosive cards at enemies.

He may have a passive ability called Energy Accumulation, which could function similarly to Wolverine’s passive, increasing his damage over time. Additional abilities such as Node Card Array Projection and Node Card Array Recycling remain mysterious but may involve area denial or card-based traps.

While Gambit’s ultimate ability is unknown, speculation suggests it could be inspired by the X-Men Origins[1] scene where he uses his bo staff to slam the ground, creating a massive energy burst.

Hit-Monkey – The Dual-Wielding Assassin

Hit-Monkey is a lesser-known but deadly Marvel character who is expected to wield dual pistols, making him a fast-paced ranged duelist. His primary fire focuses on rapid pistol shots, and he has an ability called Endless Rage, which may provide a damage boost or defensive buff.

Another ability, Kitten Howling, remains unclear, but it might involve fear-based crowd control, temporarily disabling enemies. Fear Hunt, another ability, could be a dash or assassination move, similar to Spider-Man’s web attacks, allowing Hit-Monkey to chase marked enemies.

Nightcrawler – The Teleporting Swordsman

Nightcrawler is a melee duelist with dual sword attacks, which may function as his primary and secondary fire. His leaked abilities include Foil Style and FA Style, possibly representing different sword techniques or attack sequences.

His most exciting ability is Phase Shift, which allows him to teleport short distances in combat. This move is expected to function similarly to Magik’s teleport, making Nightcrawler extremely elusive and difficult to target.

Trapster – The Sticky Trickster

Trapster, also known as Paste Pot Pete, is an unexpected addition to the list of duelists. His glue gun will likely be his primary fire, possibly slowing or immobilizing enemies.

His abilities include Sticky Bomb, which may be an AoE glue explosion, and Glue Lasso, allowing him to swing to locations, similar to Spider-Man’s web movement. Watch Your Step could be an ultimate ability[2], covering the ground in a sticky substance that slows and damages enemies.
