Valorant Mobile release date finally announced

Riot Games has already proven that there’s a place in the mobile gaming landscape through League of Legends, and it wants to repeat that with Valorant. Valorant already saw the surprising expansion of going to consoles, and it’s now slated to come to mobile devices soon.

Thanks to an event in China that Riot Games and Tencent attended, we know exactly when Valorant Mobile is slated to launch in China. Fans were also given more information, like how many modes it’ll come with, which of the maps players can expect, and which agents won’t be in the game just yet.

Without any further delays, here’s when you can expect Valorant Mobile to come out, at least in China.

When will Valorant Mobile come out in China?

At ChinaJoy 2025, Riot Games and Tencent confirmed that Valorant Mobile will officially launch in China on August 19. The reveal included gameplay details, supported agents, and long-term plans for the game’s ecosystem.

This mobile version has been in beta for several months, but Riot is now ready for its full rollout in one of the world’s most important markets. Like many global titles, Valorant’s path to release in China was slow. The PC version itself took over three years to get licensed, eventually launching in July 2023.

At launch, Valorant Mobile will feature 10 game modes, including Competitive, Spike Rush, and Deathmatch. It will have seven core maps, plus two exclusive maps for Team Deathmatch. A total of 18 agents will be playable. Characters like Iso, Sage, and many others are included, while a few newer ones like KAY/O, Clove, and Waylay won’t be in the game for the timebeing.

Tencent and Riot also unveiled a 1.5 billion yuan ($200 million) investment plan over the next three years to grow the game’s mobile ecosystem and infrastructure in China.

When will Valorant get a global release date?

It’s currently unknown when Valorant will come out globally. The game’s release in China is a sign that the team is hard at work to release the game when it’s ready, but fans will likely see the game’s worldwide release in early 2026 or even sooner.
