All Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 ranked changes

All Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 ranked changes

Marvel Rivals [1] hasn’t ever really been known for its competitiveness, especially since the game was originally meant to be a casual game where players can have fun. However, that has changed since its launch, since most casual players have already left, leaving the more competitive and serious players active.

To account for the new player base, the developer is making a handful of changes in Season 3.5 that will affect the game’s ranked system going forward. This includes a stricter penalty system, a bigger point loss upon abandoning a ranked game, better compensation for the remaining players, and a better appeal process.

Here’s everything to know about the revamped Marvel Rivals Season 3.5 ranked system. Of course, if you want to really climb the ranks, then you can always hire a professional Marvel Rivals booster to help you get to a high enough rank where your teammates actually care about winning.

Marvel Rivals leavers will get stricter penalties

Players who leave ranked games early will now face harsher consequences. Marvel Rivals is increasing penalties across the board, making it riskier than ever to abandon matches. Expect longer bans and steeper Ranked Point reductions if you quit mid-game, even if it’s just once.

These penalties are meant to discourage disruptive behavior and keep ranked matches competitive from start to finish. The unfortunate thing is that those who unwillingly leave, whether it’s because of their internet or system, will also have to face these penalties. Fortunately, that’s where the appeal system comes into play, though we’ll highlight more of that later.

Alongside longer bans, players who quit will now lose more Ranked Points than before. This change targets repeat offenders who dodge difficult matches or ruin team momentum. The new system calculates a heavier point deduction when a player exits early, especially if it leads to a loss for the team.

On the flip side, if someone on your team leaves, you’re no longer left to suffer. The rest of the squad will receive RP compensation to reduce the impact of the abandoned match. This makes things fairer for those stuck in a 5v6 scenario and helps preserve MMR balance.

Marvel Rivals ranked system to get more balanced and fair

To make it easier for outnumbered teams to surrender, Marvel Rivals has reduced the number of players needed to vote yes. You now need just one less than the number of remaining teammates to successfully forfeit. This helps teams move on faster instead of being forced to play through hopeless matches.

Marvel Rivals will now investigate disconnections caused by system issues more carefully. If you leave a game due to a crash or network bug, the penalty may be reversed after review. Riot-like in approach, this move gives genuine players a better shot at avoiding unfair punishment.

Players who feel wrongly penalized can now appeal faster. The developers have shortened the review timeline to get results out more quickly. Whether it's a mistaken ban or connection-related leave, expect a quicker turnaround when requesting a second look.
