Accessing Deadlock and Community Engagement

Earlier, the unofficial version of Deadlock got leaked by alpha testers, and while these early builds allowed players to explore the game’s mechanics, they couldn't play the multiplayer. Since then, however, Valve has simplified access to Deadlock, and the game is now available through the invite system on Steam. This allows players who already have access to the game to invite their friends to play, and this will significantly expand the player base. 

Players need to be invited by someone who has access to the alpha to join the official playtests. As of August, Deadlock has over 18,000 active players, which indicates a clear interest and engagement from the community.
