Every team that qualified for Road to MSI 2025

Every team that qualified for Road to MSI 2025

While League of Legends [1] is a worldwide phenomenon played by players all over the world, most would argue that it’s biggest in Korea. Thanks to this, most of the Korean tournaments like the LCK garner more viewers than most other regions. Now, the upcoming Korean tournament is Road to MSI [2].

Those who stay up to date with Korean League of Legends teams will likely know that the LCK’s rounds 1-2 determined which teams qualify for Road to MSI. With every team’s spot confirmed, we’re here to go through every team that qualified for Road to MSI 2025.

So, without further ado, here’s what to know about Road to MSI, including its dates and participating teams.

Which teams qualified for Road to MSI?

A handful of the best-performing teams qualified for Road to MSI. Those who placed in the top six in the LCK rounds 1-2 tournament were the only ones to get a place in the Road to MSI. From first to sixth, these are the teams you can expect to see in the upcoming tournament:

Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports have been seeded in round three, and they’ll face each other on June 13. The winning team will automatically qualify for MSI, while the losing team will get another chance in round 5.

Dplus and KT Rolster are the first teams to duke it out in round 1 on June 7, 2025. The winning team will take on NS RedForce on June 8, and the winner of that will go up against T1 on June 14. Round 4’s winner will face off against Round 3’s loser to determine which team qualifies for MSI.

One important thing to keep in mind is that, in the scenario that T1 qualifies for MSI, the third team will automatically get the qualification too. The reason for this is that T1 has already qualified for the tournament, and therefore, can’t qualify twice. There must be two additional Korean teams. Finally, the teams that come first and second will also qualify for the Esports World Cup.

Thanks to their performance in the previous LCK split, the favorites to win Road to MSI, or at least perform the best, are Gen.G and Hanwha Life Esports. While T1 is a household name, the team hasn’t been performing the best recently, and is also coming off a loss.
