Skins and other cosmetics play a huge role in Valorant’s [1] overall gameplay loop. With the game being completely free-to-play, it makes sense that players buy skins to support their favorite developer while also having a way to feel distinct from the other players. However, unlike League of Legends, Valorant didn’t have a gifting feature for a while.
Now, Valorant has a brand-new gifting feature that players can utilize to gift skins to their friends. There are a couple of prerequisites that include the players must be over level fifteen, the two players must have been friends for over a week, and both accounts must be unbanned, but overall, gifting in Valorant is fairly easy.
Here’s everything to know about gifting in Valorant. Of course, if you want, you can always spend your money on playing alongside actually good players instead of buying skins and cosmetics you likely won’t really use much.
How can you gift skins in Valorant?
Before we go through the steps you must follow to gift something to your friends, it’s important to state some ground rules. Firstly, with the launch of the system, players can only gift items and bundles from the feature store instead of their personal store or any other place. Thanks to this, players can only gift items that are featured in your store that you can buy for Valorant points.
Additionally, below are all the prerequisites that both players must first meet before they can gift skins:
Both players must be in the same region shard. Those who can’t play together can’t gift skins to each other either
Both players must be unbanned and unsuspended
The player sending the gift must be over level fifteen
The receiver must accept the gift within sixty days, otherwise, the gifter will get a full refund. The receiver can also decline the gift for whatever reason
Both players must have been friends in-game for at least one week
Overall, the gifting scene in Valorant has as many restrictions as in League of Legends, which suggests they may not change any time soon. However, one addition Riot Games may potentially add is the ability to gift any skin the player wants, instead of having to wait for it to come to their feature store.
How to gift skins and bundles in Valorant
With the prerequisites out of the way, it’s time to go through the steps to follow if you want to gift something to your friends:
First, log in to the game
Then, go to your feature store by pressing the shop button
Click on the bundle or item you want to gift
At the bottom, just under the buy option, you’ll see the option to either gift their entire bundle or an individual gift
Now, follow the on-screen instructions that have you selecting the friend you want to gift the item or bundle to
Finally, have your friend accept the gift and enjoy!
Of course, you need to have the correct amount of Valorant Points in your in-game library to ensure you can actually purchase the item or bundle you want to gift. Additionally, you can only send five gifts per day, after which you’ll have to wait for the counter to reset before gifting your friends anything else.
Finally, and arguably the most important thing, is that you can’t gift skins from the Black Market. This means that, even if you get something your friend likes for a discounted price, you won’t get the option to gift it to your friend. League of Legends also has a similar restriction, so it’s unlikely to change.

FAQs
How many gifts can you send in Valorant?
There’s no limit to how many gifts you can send in Valorant, as you only need to have the right amount of Valorant Points. However, after sending five gifts in a day, you’ll have to wait until the next day before you can gift someone anything again.
Can you gift the battle pass in Valorant?
Unfortunately, Valorant doesn’t have the ability to gift the battle pass to other players yet. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if the option is added to the game later, considering League of Legends also has it.
