Overwatch 2 Season 15 mid-season patch notes

Overwatch 2’s ^[1] latest mid-season update is set to drop on March 18, 2025, bringing fresh content, balance adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements. Players can expect new hero skins, including the highly anticipated second collaboration with K-pop group LE SSERAFIM, as well as tweaks to the game’s perk system and hero balance.

With a Widowmaker Mythic weapon skin, a Freja hero trial, and changes aimed at refining the competitive experience, this update is shaping up to be one of the biggest of the season. Blizzard is also laying the groundwork for Season 16, teasing the arrival of hero bans in Competitive mode and a new Stadium mode inspired by Counter-Strike.

Release date and preload information

The mid-season update for Overwatch 2 Season 15 will launch on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at 11:00 AM PT (6:00 PM UTC). PC players can preload the update through the Battle.net launcher to access new content immediately upon release without waiting.

Second LE SSERAFIM crossover

The update’s highlight is the second collaboration with the K-pop group LE SSERAFIM. Five new skins inspired by their latest album, HOT, will be introduced for the following heroes: 

• Juno
• Illari
• D.Va
• Mercy
• Ashe

Blue Flame variants of the original 2024 LE SSERAFIM skins will be in the in-game store.

Perk adjustments

The mid-season patch will prioritize balancing perks, a core addition in Season 15. Blizzard has confirmed adjustments to address overpowered or underutilized perks. One example is that the company will rework Bastion’s self-healing ability to include a resource meter and limit his healing capacity, requiring strategic use, similar to Roadhog’s mechanics.

Hero buffs and nerfs
