Overwatch 2 February 13 Patch: Every Nerf, Buff, and Role Passive Change in Season 1

Overwatch 2 February 13 Patch: Every Nerf, Buff, and Role Passive Change in Season 1

Blizzard dropped a balance patch on February 13, 2026 targeting all six new heroes in Overwatch 2 Season 1: Conquest. Domina and Jetpack Cat got nerfed, Anran and Emre got buffed, and the biggest change - all heroes can now see allied health through walls, not just supports.

Key takeaway: The Damage Role Passive is completely gone. Healing reduction is now baseline for everyone, and supports no longer have an exclusive self-heal passive - it’s global. These are fundamental meta shifts, not tweaks.

Two weeks into Season 1, Blizzard is already making significant moves. If you’ve been grinding ranked and feel like something changed overnight, it did. The February 13 patch touches hero stats, role passives, and even how aim assist works on console.[1]

If you’re trying to climb through these meta changes and want a head start, Eloking’s Overwatch 2 boosting can help you adapt faster.

Hero Nerfs: Domina, Jetpack Cat, and Vendetta Take Hits

The three strongest new heroes all got brought down a notch:

Domina (Tank)

Barrier Array’s Barrier Panel Health reduced from 250 to 225. It sounds small, but Domina’s entire kit revolves around barrier uptime. A 25 HP reduction per panel adds up fast in extended fights, especially against poke compositions that chip away at barriers between engagements.

Jetpack Cat (Support)

Frenetic Flight regeneration rate dropped from 30 to 25. This directly limits how long Jetpack Cat can stay airborne, which was the primary complaint from the community - a support that literally can’t be caught was frustrating to play against. Five fewer regen per second means more landing, more vulnerability windows.

Vendetta (Damage)

Siphoning Strike lifesteal reduced from 40% to 30%. Vendetta was sustaining through fights that no DPS hero should be able to survive. A 10% lifesteal cut makes her trading pattern riskier - she can still brawl, but she’ll need to be smarter about when she commits.

Hero Buffs: Anran and Emre Get Some Love

Anran (Damage)

Anran received multiple buffs across her kit. Zhuque Fans impact damage increased from 20 to 22, Fan the Flames now applies beam damage against armor (only 30% reduced instead of full armor mitigation), Inferno Rush can be canceled with quick melee, and her Ignition passive burning linger time increased from 3 to 4 seconds.[2]

The armor interaction change is the biggest deal here. Before this patch, Anran was nearly useless against tank-heavy compositions because armor ate her damage. Now she can actually pressure tanks, which opens up her viability across more team compositions.

Emre (Damage)

Take Aim’s falloff range increased from 30-45 to 35-50 meters, and Cyber Frag’s explosion minimum radius went from 1.25 to 2 meters. These are quality-of-life buffs that make Emre more forgiving at range and in splash scenarios. He still requires good aim, but the falloff adjustment means he can contest long sightlines more effectively.

Mizuki (Support)

Mizuki got a mixed bag. Spirit Glaive’s cast time dropped from 0.1 to 0.025 seconds (faster), but recovery time increased from 0.7 to 0.75 seconds (slower follow-up). Healing Kasa’s range went from 25 to 30 meters. Her ultimate costs 7% more but now gives 100 instant healing on cast. Net result: she heals from farther away and her ult is more impactful but less frequent.

Role Passive Overhaul: The Biggest Change Nobody Expected

This is where the patch gets really significant. Blizzard didn’t just tweak numbers - they fundamentally restructured how roles work:

Tank Role Passive

Tanks now get 40% reduced ultimate charge from healing and damage received, plus an extra 150 base health in Role Queue. The tradeoff? Knockback Resistance and Critical Damage Resistance are completely removed. This means tanks are tankier in raw HP but more vulnerable to headshots and environmental kills.

Damage Role Passive - Removed

The in-combat healing reduction that used to be a DPS-only perk (-30% healing reduction) is now baseline for all heroes. On top of that, the reduced effectiveness against tanks (-15%) is also global. This is a massive change - it means supports and tanks also apply healing reduction, which fundamentally changes how sustain works across the board.

Support Role Passive - Removed

The support-specific self-heal is gone. Instead, the 6-second out-of-combat regeneration is now available to every hero globally. This is a huge buff to DPS heroes who previously had no natural sustain, and a relative nerf to the support role’s survivability advantage.

Allied Health Through Walls - Now Universal

Previously, only support heroes could see allied health bars through walls. Now every hero can. This sounds like a minor UI change, but it dramatically improves team coordination in ranked play, especially at lower ranks where communication is inconsistent. Our solo queue climbing guide covers how to use information like this to make better decisions.

Console Aim Assist Changes

The 4% auto-aim adjustment that was previously limited to select hitscan heroes is now extended to all hitscan heroes - unless you opt into the new Legacy Aim Assist option, which preserves the old strength curve. If you’re on console and your aim feels different, this is why.

What This Means for the Meta

The removal of role-specific passives is the most impactful change in this patch. Globally available healing reduction means sustain-heavy compositions lose a key advantage. Tanks losing crit resistance means headshots matter more, which buffs precision DPS like Sojourn, Widowmaker, and Ashe.

For supports, the loss of exclusive self-heal isn’t as devastating as it sounds, because the 6-second regen is still there - it’s just not unique anymore. But supports are relatively weaker in duels now, which makes peel from teammates more important. If you’re learning a new main role, these passive changes should factor into your decision.

Confirmed: Domina, Jetpack Cat, and Vendetta nerfed (3 heroes); Anran, Emre, and Mizuki buffed (3 heroes); all 3 role passives restructured with new values. Blizzard indicated a midseason patch is possible if broader adjustments are needed. For now, expect the meta to shift toward precision damage and coordinated play over raw sustain.
