While gaming was previously seen as some sort of way to pass the time, that isn’t the case anymore. Now, video game developers have climbed to the top of the corporate ladder to become extremely successful, with other companies also collaborating with them.
OnePlus is stepping into the Valorant Mobile esports scene through a new partnership with TJ Sports, the joint venture between Riot Games and Tencent. Announced during the launch of the OnePlus Ace 5, the deal positions OnePlus as a key hardware and promotional partner as Valorant [1] Mobile gears up for its first competitions in China. While financial details weren’t disclosed, the agreement spans technology, marketing, and live events.
Here’s what to know about the OnePlus and Riot partnership for Valorant Mobile in China.
OnePlus and TJ Sports create strategic Valorant Mobile partnership
Chinese smartphone brand OnePlus announced a strategic partnership with TJ Sports for upcoming Valorant Mobile esports competitions and activities in China. TJ Sports is the collaboration of Riot Games, Valorant’s developer, and its parent company, Tencent Holdings. The financial terms of the agreement are unknown.
The partnership was announced by Bobby Jin, CEO of TJ Sports and Valorant Mobile China's publishing and esports director, at the OnePlus Ace 5 launch, which will encompass technology, esports, events, and marketing initiatives. This collaboration puts OnePlus as an integral partner for Valorant Mobile’s competitive scene, with the Chinese market starting in 2025.

OnePlus Ace 5 Pro is the exclusive device for Valorant Mobile esports
The OnePlus Ace 5 Pro smartphone will be bound with Valorant Mobile under this partnership. It has been designated the exclusive and official smartphone product for Valorant Mobile community-driven esports competitions in the second half of 2025. This gives the device significant importance within the game’s competitive ecosystem.
Also, the OnePlus Ace 5 Pro will be the official smartphone for the Valorant Mobile Shanghai trial play session in June and a Valorant Mobile competition in Qingdao scheduled for July. This highlights the instant integration of OnePlus hardware into Valorant Mobile’s early competitive and promotional events in China. Riot Games and Tencent’s LightSpeed Studios, the co-developer of Valorant Mobile alongside Riot, announced that the game’s first closed beta will start on June 12.
