Valorant Ascension Americas 2025 will take place in São Paulo, Brazil, making it the second consecutive year the tier-two promotional tournament is hosted in the country. The event is scheduled for October and has a $100,000 prize pool, with dates and ticket sales to be revealed later. Riot Games confirmed adjustments to the format due to ongoing evaluations of G2 Esports and 2GAME Esports, the two teams promoted via Ascension in 2024. These teams may keep their VCT Americas spots, defend them in Ascension, or face relegation, depending on how their evaluations go.
The new format includes a Swiss-stage group phase, where the top four teams advance to playoffs. The play-in phase, a single round-robin featuring third seeds, will only occur if one or no invited teams compete in Ascension. Successful play-in teams join the top two seeds from BR, LATAM, and NA Challengers Leagues in the Swiss Stage. All matches are best-of-three, except the lower bracket final and the grand final, which will have a best-of-five. This structure is an attempt to balance competitiveness while accommodating potential scenarios involving G2 and 2GAME.
