Valorant: Best Clove smoke lineups in Ascent

Valorant: Best Clove smoke lineups in Ascent

Clove may be the newest smoker Agent in Valorant, but players have really taken a liking to them, particularly thanks to how easy it is to use their smokes, even when the player is dead. Naturally, it’s important to know where to place Clove’s smokes, especially in intricate maps like Ascent, and that’s what we’re here to help with,

Here, we’re about to go through some of the absolute best smokes players can use as Clove in the Ascent map. Of course, we’ll go through some for attackers and defenders to ensure players have smokes they can use in every situation.

So, without further ado, here are the best Clove smoke lineups in Ascent. If you would rather have a professional player give you detailed explanations on why every smoke is good, we highly recommend you hire a professional coach from Eloking, You can even use the code “BoostToday” for an excellent 20% discount.

Best Clove smoke lineups as an Attacker in Ascent

Most of the attack smoke players will be using as Clove will be straightforward, but there are some lineups they can make that can help the team immensely in getting control of sites.

A site

Starting with A site, the best areas to smoke in are the two default spots near Switch and Heaven. Try to place the Heaven smoke right above Hell so it can block the visibility of two areas. These are the two main chokepoints of the site from where the defenders usually push, so smoking them both will provide the attackers some breathing room and site control.

If the player plants in front of the Generator, Clove can set a smoke on top of it to get a one-way smoke that allows the attackers to defend the spike.

B site

For the B site, place the smoke in the market door, and the entrance to the Attacker spawn. These two spots are from where the remaining defenders push, so blocking the two key areas will slow down rotating players for a short period.

When defending a planted spike, it is a good idea to put a smoke on the green boxes that are on the left side. By smoking that area and hiding in Boathouse, players can get a good one-way smoke that allows them to see the legs of anyone pushing from Defender spawn.

Mid

Controlling Mid in rounds is important because it is often the link between multiple bomb sites. On Ascent, players can control mid with a few good smokes. When attacking, smoke off A-short Ramps and deep Market next to Pizza.

These two smokes will leave Mid almost free, letting attackers fight there freely.

Best Clove smoke lineups as a Defender in Ascent

The smokes players will use for defending sites are just as simple as the ones used for attacking.

A Site

The primary smoke Clove players should use when defending A site is A main. Even though it is a simple smoke, it is the most important one since it is the main way for attackers to enter. Use one smoke in A main if the enemies are pushing, and immediately put in the second one when the first one expires.

B Site

Similar to A site, the only place Clove players need to worry about is B Main. Smoking B Main will delay the enemy’s attack. Just like in A site, try using only one smoke in B Main and then using the second one right when the initial one goes away. This way, defenders can hold the site for longer.

Mid

To control Mid, Defenders can smoke off two areas. The first place Clove players should smoke off is mid-link since it prevents attackers from rotating from B to Mid easily. Another good place to smoke is upper mid because that is the main route attackers take so they can push Mid.

FAQs

Is Clove the only smoker in Valorant?

Not at all. Valorant has a wide range of agents players choose from, and some of them include other smokers like Omen and Brimstone. The key to winning is finding the agents that you vibe with the best.

Can these smoke lineups work on other maps too?

That’s a tough question. While the basic rules for smoking are the same on every map, some sites have multiple entry points and it’s important to narrow down which smokes can restrict the enemy’s movements the most.
