The Valorant community is no stranger to experiencing constant controversies. With so many professional players and all sorts of fans, it makes sense that certain actions, words, or events rub certain parts of the internet the wrong way. Such is the case with the most recent controversy involving the professional player Sinatraa.
Most of this controversy surfaced after Sinatraa filled for the professional Valorant team Envy. What are the accusations against the Valorant player Sinatraa?
The accusations against the professional Valorant player Jay “Sinatraa” Won are much more serious than most may assume. Back in 2021, the player was accused by his now ex-girlfriend of SA, which the player denied. The allegations came with audio recordings and detailed descriptions of the alleged abuse. This went viral in the community, and Riot Games [1] even investigated the player who was playing for Sentinels back then. Sentinels also suspended the player as the investigations proceeded.
It’s unknown what exactly happened, but Riot Games ended up suspending the player for six months for allegedly not cooperating with Riot’s investigation. Thanks to this, the iconic Valorant player Tyson “TenZ” Ngo replaced Sinatraa, effectively kicking him from the starting roster with little to no chance of him returning to play for the team again.
A police investigation had reportedly been conducted around the situation, but no advancement was made, leading many to believe that the allegations were false. Pair that with Sinatraa’s former girlfriend pursuing a career in the adult entertainment industry, and much of the Valorant community opted to side with the professional player, even if some thought there was truth to it.
After the suspension was lifted and Won announced his return to the professional Valorant scene, the player attempted to sign with a team. Unfortunately for him, he was unable to secure a spot in a team, and instead opted to continue his career as a content creator. In January 2023, Won joined the free agent team Untamable Beasts. While his performance was good, his team was unable to qualify.

What is the drama about the professional Valorant player Sinatraa?
After not having played professionally since 2023, Sinatraa came back to the professional limelight after he filled an open spot for the professional team Envy during the For Those Who Dare 2025 tournament. Playing Raze and Sova and dropping some impressive kills in both of the matches he played, leading to the team’s victory against Furia and We Almost Did It, many of his former fans took to social media to talk about how he was still an excellent player.
Naturally, this also gave rise to a lot of controversy. Namely, those who believe that there should be lasting repercussions for the former allegations went on platforms like X (formerly Twitter) to voice their displeasure. This has resulted in the Valorant community being split again, with some saying no one was able to definitively prove Sinatraa as an abuser, and others stating that the evidence shown was more than enough.
Sinatraa was accused of SA by his ex-girlfriend in 2021, including audio recordings and descriptions. While he denied the allegations, Riot Games suspended him for six months for lack of cooperation.
