When will the new Valorant map be revealed?

Hero shooters need two primary things to be successful. The first is a roster of unique playable characters with cool abilities and designs, while the second is a collection of good playable maps. Valorant ^[1] has both, and continues to add to both collections with new updates.

Now, Valorant players are looking forward to a brand new map that’s expected to be showcased soon. We already know when players will get their first look at the map, when it will likely come out, and which streamers and influencers will help reveal the map.

So, without any further delay, here’s when you can expect the new Valorant map to get revealed.

When is the new Valorant map’s showmatch

The new Valorant map is expected to be revealed during Valorant Masters Toronto on June 22. The exact time the match will start is June 22, at 12 PM EDT, which is the same day as when the Grand Finals match will take place.

As it usually is, Riot Games will bring a handful of popular personalities and have them play the showmatch. While most of these personalities are unknown, the two players who fans can expect to see on opposite teams are Jeremy ‘Disguised Toast’ Wang and Tarik ‘tarik’ Celik, who will each lead their own teams.

This will actually be the first time fans will get the chance to see Disguised Toast play Valorant in person. While the OTV player has played the game multiple times, it has only been in pre-recorded videos, so many fans are looking forward to that. Players can tune in to the showmatch on Twitch and YouTube.

When will the new Valorant map come out?

The new Valorant match is expected to launch with the game’s patch 11.00. The exact release date for the patch isn’t out, but it’s expected to drop on June 24 or 25, which will only be a couple of days after the showmatch.

Unlike previous updates, the new map will be playable in competitive mode from the start. However, there’s a twist. Those who lose on the new map will lose only 50% of the RR they were supposed to lose. On the other hand, those who win will earn all of the RR they were promised. This will hopefully help players get accustomed to the map quicker while not having to lose their hard-earned rank.
