Where to find Ralts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

The Pokémon series has introduced multiple different creatures throughout the years, from the iconic Pikachu to the relatively niche Smeargle. Every fan has a favorite Pokémon, and one of the most popular evolution lines includes Ralts.

Of course, it makes sense that Game Freak would introduce Ralts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the newest game in the series. Getting Gardevoire is easier said than done, since players can get its first evolution Ralts at level 10. Fortunately, Ralts isn’t too rare, and players can get one from the rooftops of the area around Café Classe.

Without any further delays, here’s how and where you can get Ralts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

How to get Ralts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

After completing the early main-mission training sequence, you can explore Lumiose City freely. Go to Vert Sector 4, the green area on your city map, where you can find Café Classe, to locate Ralts. Reach the rooftops with a ladder or the nearby holo-elevator, then descend into the grassy courtyard directly behind the Café. With a few Great Balls, you should be able to catch Ralts, which usually spawns here at level 10.

If Ralts is not there or escapes, reset its spawn by warping to the Pokémon Center or back to the Café. You might want to catch a second Ralt because the first one will be of a random gender. You can evolve Ralts into Gardevoir and Gallade by having both male and female Ralts.

A later Ralts appears in the Rouge District. Climb the scaffolding on the north side of the Galerie de la Lune shopping center and use Roto-Glide to reach the glass dome on the roof. You will find another Ralts around Level 10 on that roof, near the tallest dome. If it runs, you can warp back to the Pokémon ^[1] Center to reset it, just like the city spawns.

In addition to normal Ralts, an Alpha Ralts sometimes appears here under Icy Wind weather conditions, but only after the game’s later areas and weather mechanics are available.

Tips for catching Ralts in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

To make catching Ralts easy from the start, here are some key tips:

• Stock up on Poké Balls: The Ralts you encounter in the city are usually around Level 10, so Great Balls or even better types will make the catch easy. Since you’ll want both genders, bring a generous supply.
• Plan for Evolutions: If you intend to evolve a male Ralts into Gallade later, have a Dawn Stone on hand. All Ralts, regardless of gender, can evolve into Gardevoir.
• Reset the Spawn: If Ralts runs away or isn’t there when you arrive, don’t worry. Simply fast-travel away and return.
• Time and Weather don’t matter: Ralts spawns in Vert Sector 4, and can appear regardless of the time. It does not require any special weather conditions.
• Unlocking requirements: Ralts is available very early in the story, as soon as Lumiose City is fully accessible to you. However, the “On Maintenance Duty” side quest in Blue Sector 7 is necessary only if you plan to hunt for Alpha Ralts later in the game.
