League of Legends has been around for a while, and a big reason for the game surviving as long as it has is because of how Riot Games ensures the playable champions are always kept in top form. This means that the developers usually buff or nerf champions depending on what’s in the meta.
League of Legends patch 25.18 is on the horizon, and while Riot Games hasn’t told fans much of what to expect, we already know all of the champion changes coming. These include Taliyah getting a significant nerf, as well as explaining how the mid lane meta is slated to get revamped soon.
Here are all of the champion buffs and nerfs you can expect in League of Legends patch 25.18.
Champion Buffs
Several underperforming champions are receiving boosts this patch.
Amumu (Support): His Bandage Toss is now more forgiving, with a shorter cooldown at higher ranks and a flat mana cost of 50.
Ashe: Attack Damage per level increased, giving her a little more scaling power across the game.
Cassiopeia: Gains extra base mana and stronger Twin Fang damage when attacking poisoned targets, making her a stronger late-game option.
Garen: Judgment now scales slightly better with Attack Damage per tick.
Hwei: Multiple ability ratios have been improved, including his passive and Subject abilities, boosting his AP scaling and mobility.
Jayce: Shock Blast deals more base damage early, making his poke even more threatening.
Vel’Koz: His crowd control comes up more often with a reduced E cooldown, while his ultimate now delivers more total damage per cast.
Champion Nerfs
Some of the strongest champions in both solo queue and pro play are being tuned down.
Annie: Her W damage and Tibbers’ Magic Penetration are reduced, limiting her burst potential in pro play.
Aurora: Her passive deals less base percent damage early, though it scales better with Ability Power.
Azir: Loses some attack speed growth and W scaling, weakening his consistency.
Galio: Colossal Smash and Winds of War now deal less damage, especially against tankier opponents.
Qiyana (Mid & Jungle): Reduced base stats and lower passive damage, making her early game less punishing.
Sylas (Jungle): His passive now does less bonus damage to monsters.
Taliyah: Adjustments shift her damage around, lowering her base values but increasing AP ratios, with monster damage buffs for jungle play.
Volibear: Gains less attack speed from AP scaling on his passive.
Yunara: A major set of nerfs to address her dominance. She now has less health, attack damage, and her E provides less mobility.

Champion Adjustments
Some champions are receiving mixed updates that adjust their strengths while opening new weaknesses.
Briar: Her Q now deals physical instead of magic damage, while her ultimate has reduced AD scaling but higher AP scaling and a longer range. A slight delay has also been added to the global sound alert.
Illaoi: Tentacles no longer spawn when she teleports, but her E debuff lasts longer. To balance, her W damage scaling has been slightly reduced.
System Buffs
Item and rune tweaks round out the patch.
Bami’s Cinder & Sunfire Aegis: Both receive increased damage ratios against minions and monsters, giving tank items more strength in the early game.
Bone Plating: Now shows an icon when available, making it easier to track.
Mercurial Scimitar: Gains more Attack Damage and a longer cleanse duration, though its Magic Resistance is slightly lowered.
