League of Legends is constantly changing how it does things, whether it’s adding new champions or shelving items that Riot doesn’t think suit the game’s atmosphere. 2025 was huge for the game, and it seems like 2026 is slated to be even bigger, with some of the biggest changes already revealed.
Among all of the changes, the most massive ones are likely those that are related to the game’s jungle. From Atakhan getting removed to changes involving the first blood and first turret milestones, here’s everything to know about how the League of Legends [1] jungle will change in 2026.
What jungle changes are coming to League of Legends in 2026?
Atakhan was the newest jungle monster in League of Legends, rewarding players with blood roses and a slew of experience. The monster quickly became the one that gave players the biggest win advantage, increasing the team’s chances by over 8% just for getting it. However, it’s going away in 2026.
Since League of Legends season 26 won’t be based on Noxus, and the Black Rose won’t have anything to do with it, it makes sense that the jungle monster will get shelved, This also means that the blood roses that so many players were so fond of will also be leaving the game, though it’s unknown if any other gimmick will come to the game’s map.
With the removal of Atakhan, the Feats of Strength will also go away from the game. Additionally, the Baron will again spawn at the 20-minute mark, and the first blood and first turret milestones will grant 100 and 300 extra gold, respectively.
These changes have garnered mixed reactions from the community. While some are happy, saying that players are one step closer to finally playing classic League of Legends again, others are complaining that they’ll have to adjust their gameplay once again and remember all of the jungle timings. It wouldn’t be far-fetched to say that almost all of the changes that were added to League of Legends in 2025 will be removed, aside from major ones like the new champions.

What turret changes are coming to League of Legends in 2026?
Alongside the jungle changes, players can also expect a handful of changes coming to League of Legends in 2026 that are related to the turret. The biggest one has to be the fact that Nexus turrets will now respawn with 40% health instead of 100%. This means that there’s a smaller chance of losing teams to make a comeback, since it’ll be much easier for minions to destroy the Nexus if it’s left unattended. Backlining will also likely be easier, since opportunities like jungle objectives will arise.
This isn’t all, as the next major turret-related change is that tier 1 turret plates will no longer disappear after 14 minutes. This will make it harder for players to take out turrets in the long run, while also ensuring the gold from plates isn’t lost because of time issues. Finally, tier 2 and tier 3 turrets will get three plates each, and every plate will guarantee a portion of that turret’s gold.
