Winner’s round 1: Two best-of-three matches determine which teams advance towards qualification.
June 28
Loser’s round 1: First elimination matches for the initial day’s losers.
Winner’s round 2: The two winning teams from June 27 compete for an entry to the main bracket.
June 29
Loser’s round 2: The final qualifier will come from the losers bracket to earn the second play-in seed.

What will the bracket stages be for MSI 2025?
The bracket stages bring all ten regional representatives, including the two play-in survivors. Every match is a best-of-five, with the bracket split into upper and lower brackets:
Upper bracket: Teams will start here. Winners will continue upwards, while losers will drop to the lower bracket.
Lower bracket: It has a single-elimination format for one-loss teams, where a second loss will eliminate the team.
Grand finals: The upper bracket and the lower bracket finalists will compete.
The bracket ensures that every team has a minimum of two matches and keeps championship potential after an early setback. Matches resume on July 7 for lower bracket rounds after the July 6 intermission.

What bracket seeding system does MSI use?
MSI uses a multi-tier seeding system with region-protection rules to balance fairness and competition
Teams are placed in four seeding tiers based on regional strength and past international performance. LCK#1 and LTA#1 share one side of the upper bracket, preventing early intra-regional matches. LEC#1 and LCK#2 are on the opposite side, ensuring marquee matchups can occur deeper in the tournament.
Depending on which two teams advance from the play-ins, six predefined bracket scenarios adjust matchups. Only situations that could produce same-region upper-bracket clashes require an on-site random draw to finalize pairings.
MSI maximizes international matchups while keeping competitiveness with the rules, allowing ten teams to earn the championship title.
What’s the prize pool of MSI 2025?
MSI 2025 has a prize pool of USD 2 million, spread among all participating teams. 10th place gets $80,000 and 9th gets $100,000. 7th and 8th receive $130,000 while 5th-6th obtain $160,000. 4th place will earn $ 2,000,000, 3rd place will receive $240,000, and 2nd place will obtain $300,000.
The team that secures first place will receive $500,000 prize, the championship title, and will qualify for 2025 Worlds, the most prestigious LoL tournament.
