Overwatch 2 X Cowboy Bebop Collaboration Date and Skins

Overwatch 2 X Cowboy Bebop Collaboration Date and Skins

There's nothing better than seeing your favorite game collab with your favorite IP, and for anime fans who play Overwatch 2, we have some really good news. If you haven't heard already, Blizzard has announced that Overwatch 2 would be collaborating with the insanely popular anime Cowboy Bebop.
Today, we're here to go through everything you need to know about this specific collaboration. This includes when it'll start, which skins you'll be able to acquire for your favorite heroes, and whether you can expect more of these collaborations to hit the game in the future.

So, without further ado, here's everything to know about the Overwatch 2 X Cowboy Bebop crossover. If you want another good collaboration, then how about You X Eloking? Just hire a professional booster from Eloking.com and use the code "BoostToday" for a 20% discount and watch as this collab takes you to the rank you deserve.

When Will the Event Start?

Scheduled to begin on March 12th, the event promises a plethora of goodies inspired by the iconic anime series. While the trailer provided a tantalizing glimpse, the real feast awaits players on March 11th when the event skins, emotes, and cosmetics will be fully revealed.

As for how long it'll go on, we don't really know as of yet. However, you can expect the event to at least last over a week to ensure players actually have the chance to get the exclusive skins for this event.

Aimee Dennett, Associate Director of Overwatch 2, expressed excitement over the collaboration, acknowledging the honor of partnering with one of the most revered anime series of all time. Dennett emphasized the team's dedication to paying homage to Cowboy Bebop's legendary storytelling, art, animation, and music.

Revealed Cowboy Bebop Skins

Among the highlights are several Legendary skins, each intricately crafted to capture the essence of Cowboy Bebop characters within the Overwatch universe. Spike Spiegel Cassidy, Faye Valentine Ashe, Jet Black Mauga, Ed Sombra, and Ein Wrecking Ball are just a few of the skins players can look forward to unlocking.

While most of these skins will either have to be purchased or unlocked via completing missions, the Wrecking Ball skin can be claimed for free. Naturally, more information on how this works will be given at a later date, but it's cool to see Blizzard actually giving things out to fans for once.

Beyond cosmetic upgrades, players can also anticipate the immersive incorporation of Cowboy Bebop's iconic jazz-infused soundtrack into the game. From the bustling streets of New York City to the vast expanse of space, the music will undoubtedly enhance the atmospheric experience of Overwatch 2 during the event.

Will There Be More Anime Collaborations?

This isn't the first time Overwatch 2 has collaborated with a beloved anime either. After all, who can forget the iconic One Punch Man collaboration that saw Doomsday take up the costume of Saitama? With the anime's season 3 announced to be released in 2024, who knows, the game might collaborate with the anime again in the near future, though we wouldn't get our hopes up.

It's actually much more likely that the developers might opt to collaborate with some other popular anime. For example, a Neon Genesis Evangelion X Overwatch 2 collab would be amazing, if just for a sick Asuka D.Va skin. Hey, they could throw in a Shinji Genji or something too.
