Players found engaging in boosting activities risk severe penalties, such as account suspension or permanent bans.

In addition to the Terms of Service, Riot has implemented various detection systems to identify and penalize players involved in ELO boosting. The company continuously monitors player behavior and account activity, utilizing machine learning algorithms to spot suspicious patterns indicative of boosting. 

This proactive approach demonstrates Riot's commitment to maintaining the competitive integrity of League of Legends and preserving a fair and enjoyable environment for all players. With all of this being said, as we have noticed many times, Riot is more concerned with players giving their account details to other, more skilled players, than they are with the ranks suddenly increasing.

Understanding Elo Boosting

Before anything, it's crucial that you understand what exactly Elo boosting is. Well, if you ask a random person what it is, they'll most likely say something along the lines of  "ELO boosting involves engaging a skilled player, often referred to as a  "booster," to play on someone else's account to elevate their rank." However, it goes further than just this.

You see, some boosting services, such as Eloking, also offer players the choice of having a booster play WITH them instead of AS them. Don't get what we mean?
