Valorant [1] may be a fast-paced FPS game where even a split second could make the difference between losing ot winning a match, but that doesn’t mean it’s as transparent as it should be. In particular, the game lacks a replay feature that players can use to potentially look back at a death, kill, or other moment of play.
After a long time of fans asking, Valorant has finally confirmed that a replay feature is on the horizon. In addition to confirming the feature, Riot’s Studio Head Anna Donlon also finally informed fans when the feature will come to the game, and it’s sooner than you probably expect.
So, without further ado, here’s when the replay feature is finally coming to Valorant.

When will the replay feature come to Valorant?
Unveiled as part of Valorant’s 5-year anniversary celebration, Riot’s Studio Head Anna Donlon revealed that the game’s replay feature would be coming in September. Anna basically addressed one of the most persistent requests from the community since the game’s launch. The system will allow players to save and review match footage, a feature that fans have long viewed as essential.
Until now, players have relied on third-party tools or streaming software to analyze gameplay, which often comes with limitations or technical barriers. The lack of a built-in replay option has made it difficult for players to break down mistakes, review strategy, or create content efficiently.
The delayed arrival of replays has frustrated many within the community, particularly as other shooters like CS2 and Overwatch 2 introduced similar systems years ago. As a result, Valorant’s lack of this basic functionality stood out even more. With Riot finally committing to a release window, the community now has a clear timeline to look forward to.
It should also be noted that the Chinese version of Valorant has a replay system. When the PC port of Valorant launched in China in 2023, its local client allowed players of that region to watch moments of previous matches. However, that version only showcases and compiles kill highlights of a game instead of letting people replay the entire match. It’s unknown if that version will also be updated to ensure players can see proper replay instead of just showcases and kill compilations.
